- (Editor – FYI) Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) in Northwood UK is the central command of all NATO maritime forces and the primary maritime advisor to NATO. Like its land and air counterparts (LANDCOM & AIRCOM), MARCOM answers to NATO’s Allied Command Operations (ACO) in Mons, Belgium. MARCOM is the senior Commander for two Standing NATO Maritime Groups of which SNMG2 incudes HMCS ST JOHNS that is currently deployed in the eastern Mediterranean for Operation Sea Guardian.
