David Craig joined the Naval Reserve at HMCS Discovery in 1974 in Vancouver, and retired in 2015 as the Commodore of the Naval Reserves. In his civilian career, he worked for the RCN for 33 years as a research scientist as well as an engineer in Victoria, B.C.
